Privacy Policy — Blink Note
What data the app handles
All data is stored locally on your device only:
- Your notes — text and formatting you write. Stored in a local database on the device and encrypted before being written to disk.
- Encryption key — generated on your device and kept in the Android Keystore (secure hardware-backed storage). It never leaves the device.
- App settings — local preferences (e.g. theme), stored on the device.
We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. We never see your notes and cannot access them.
Data we collect
None. Blink Note does not collect or transmit any personal or usage data.
Data sharing
We do not share data with any third party, because no data ever leaves your device.
Permissions
Blink Note does not request internet, location, contacts, camera, or microphone permissions for collecting data. Any storage access is used solely to save your notes locally on your device.
Data retention and deletion
Your notes remain on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes all app data, including notes and the encryption key. Because data is only on your device, deletion is fully under your control.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
